Course Overview

The AZ-204 exam tests your knowledge of five subject areas. Here’s how we’ll cover them in this learning path. We’ll start with developing compute solutions, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, and Function-as-a-Service. Next, we’ll get into developing for Azure storage. This includes blob storage, which is for storing unstructured data, and Cosmos DB, which is a NoSQL data store. Then, you’ll learn how to implement security, including authentication, authorization, and managed identities. After that, you’ll learn how to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize your solutions. Finally, we’ll cover how to connect to and consume Azure services and third-party services.

Developers participating in all phases of cloud development, from requirements definition and design to development, deployment, and maintenance, as well as performance tuning and monitoring, are the target audience for this professional certificate. This course teaches programmers how to build comprehensive Microsoft Azure solutions.

The course covers the implementation of Azure compute solutions, the creation of Azure Functions, the implementation and management of web applications, the development of solutions utilizing Azure storage, the implementation of authentication and authorization, and the security of the solutions using Key Vault and Managed Identities. Additionally, students will learn how to include event- and message-based models into their solutions as well as link to and use third-party services like Azure. Additionally, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Azure solutions are covered by the Professional Certificate.
